Chair for the Department of Community Health and Health Behavior-The University at Buffalo

The School of Public Health and Health Professions (SPHHP) at the University at Buffalo (UB), the State University of New York, seeks a Chair for the Department of Community Health and Health Behavior (CHHB). We seek candidates with a strong record in academic leadership and research in community health, health behavior, or a related field, for a position in a dynamic department in a growing School. Candidates should demonstrate enthusiasm and vision for advancing the department. CHHB is committed to developing an excellent and diverse community of scholars and students. Applications from individuals who will contribute to that diversity, including underrepresented groups, are encouraged. 

CHHB has a reputation for excellence in research and education. The department houses two MPH programs (MPH in Community Health and Health Behavior and Individualized), as well as MS and PhD programs. Candidates must have either a doctorate in public health or a related discipline and/or an MD, with relevant experience in research, administration, teaching and mentoring in community health, health behavior or a related field.
