The Center for Health Promotion and Disease Prevention at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is currently seeking applications for a postdoctoral fellow to work on an NIH-funded clinical trial that aims to evaluate a multilevel early childhood obesity prevention initiative that addresses both the child care’s organizational-level healthy weight practices directed to children and providers’ ability to role model health-promoting behaviors.
This fellowship will provide training in conducting clinical trials, multi-level trial design, and remote delivery of lifestyle interventions. The fellowship will also allow for the development of writing and analysis skills.
Emphasis will be placed on leading original analyses and manuscripts, career development, and transition toward independent funding and an independent research career. This position offers a competitive salary, benefits, and travel and education opportunities in the rich interdisciplinary environment of the Center for Health Promotion and Disease Prevention.
Erik Willis, PhD, research scientist at HPDP, will direct the research program and training. Dianne Ward, EdD, FTOS, FACSM will provide additional mentorship.
