The Institute for Health Equity Research at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is seeking three junior research faculty who are committed to inclusive excellence and interested in developing careers as independent investigators in health equity science as part of our NIH FIRST (Faculty Institutional Recruitment for Sustainable Transformation) Cohort. Successful candidates will be early stage investigators whose research focuses on addressing health or healthcare disparities. Candidates should have a doctoral degree, rigorous postdoctoral research training, and demonstrated ability to design and conduct high quality clinical, health services, or epidemiological research. Candidates who are Black, Latinx, from a disadvantaged background (as defined by NIH), or from other underrepresented backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Individuals currently on career development awards are particularly encouraged to apply.
